Navy Seals "Footprints" won something

My Navy Seals spot "Footprints" seems to have won a D Show Detroit advertising award, as reported by a car news blog that, I suppose, may have been expecting the prize to go to a car spot—which makes me appreciate their kind words about the spot, which I directed for Detroit-based agency Campbell-Ewald, all the more.

Rather than watching the distorted flash video embedded on their site, watch "Footprints" in HD on the Orphanage Commercial Productions site.

You did that? I love that spot! I can't believe it hasn't been more widely recognized. So delightfully simple and effective.

Hoo-yah!

You did that? I love that spot. Hey, somebody else said that before me. No matter. Too bad it wasn't a Marine Corps ad.

Oh, and congratulations with The Orphanage (the other, smaller ILM)...I thoroughly enjoyed "bigLove"...and thanks for helping me research the Canon HV20.

Also, if you're in any way involved with the sequel to "The Dark Crystal": hope you have fun...I'm sure it'll be killer.
