Short film animated in Adobe After Effects.

The somewhat insane process of making a 3D animated short film in After Effects.

Several of my photos of Taiwan were featured in Taiwan Soul, a public exhibition of Taiwanese art, food, and culture, held in San Francisco.

Worked with director Peter Lange to shoot extensive film stock reference for the creation of Magic Bullet Film, Red Giant’s film emulation plug-in.

Designed and built a 7.1 home theater.

A Redrock Micro run-and-gun DSLR rig named loosely after me.

Traveled with the FXPHD team to Tokyo to create a course in DSLR cinematography.

Stu speaking about The Orphanage’s VFX and color work.

Served on the Digital Imaging Subcommittee of the Scientific and Technical branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, helping to determine the “Sci-tech” achievements awarded at the Oscars.

A short film shot on the Sony DVX1000. Stu created the Magic Bullet 24p conversion process for this film, which was included on the DVD accompanying The DV Rebel’s Guide.

Animated, lit, and rendered key shots in the helicopter Chunnel chase sequence at ILM.

A mini-feature shot with zero dollars and even less sense.
