Today Red Giant released the first major update to the VFX Suite we introduced last year.
Lens Distortion Matcher
A brand-new effect, Lens Distortion Matcher makes it ridiculously easy to profile the distortion of any lens, and either remove it, or build a VFX workflow around it in After Effects. It’s a necessary utility that’s also a blast to use. This is my favorite kind of Red Giant tool: rock-solid engineering and a gorgeous, easy-to-use experience.
Optical Glow
Optical Glow gets separate X and Y sizes, as well as size my R, G and B channels, plus a beautiful new Radiate control, for dimensionalizing your glows.
Supercomp
Supercomp’s Layer Glow and Optical Glow effects get all the new features from Optical Glow, plus an insane new automatic color match feature that is so easy I expect to get hate mail about it.
Shadow and Reflection
Both Shadow and Reflection get a new Displacement Map control that brings increased realism by displacing the shadow or reflection element by the contours of the background.
There’s much more on the Red Giant Blog.
